Egypt\u2019s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly has recently paid a visit to Egypt\u2019s L\u2019Or\u00e9al<\/a> factory in the 10th of Ramadan Industrial Zone – whose investments stood at \u20ac100 million since the beginning of its operations in Egypt – within the framework of the government\u2019s approach to encourage private sector investments.<\/p>\n

The premier was accompanied during the visit by Minister of Housing Dr. Assem El Gazzar, Chairman of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI)<\/a> Hossam Heiba, and a number of executives and leaders in the 10th Ramadan, Country Managing Director of L’Or\u00e9al Egypt, Dave Hughes, Regulatory & Public Affairs Director, Roba Ali, Corporate Affairs & Sustainability Responsible Director at L’Or\u00e9al Egypt, Nahla Mokhtar, and Plant Director L\u2019Or\u00e9al Egypt, Bassel Georges.<\/p>\n

The premier inspected the state-of-the-art factory which is ultimately committed to L\u2019Oreal\u2019s international standards, in addition to strictly adhering to safety and environmental standards.<\/p>\n

The factory managed to reduce its environment footprints by cutting its CO2 emission by 50%, water by 30%, and waste by 51%. The factory is also LEED certified, and it received two awards for its efforts from the Federation of the Egyptian Industries, and from the Arab League during its first Sustainability Day Summit.<\/p>\n

Madbouly also stood on the various products manufactured at the factory, which is built on an area of 17 thousand square meters.<\/p>\n

Madbouly has also inspected the factory\u2019s production lines that rely on the latest manufacturing technologies and the most innovative methods, namely the automatic packaging and the control of product specifications. It is also worth noting that all of the aforementioned sustainable development practices are believed to offer L’Oreal\u2019s products within a guaranteed provision of high quality and efficiency.<\/p>\n

Egypt is set as a crucial regional hub for manufacturing and exporting various L’Or\u00e9al products to 19 countries.<\/p>\n

\u00a0L\u2019Or\u00e9al considers the Egyptian market to be one of the most promising markets in the region. For that reason, the global leader is certainly keen on empowering the local industry, since L\u2019Or\u00e9al Egypt\u2019s factory relies on the support of local suppliers, with 85% for packaging materials, and 30% for raw materials.<\/p>\n

L\u2019Or\u00e9al\u2019s responsibility goes beyond providing the best in class beauty products, as the brand plays an active role in supporting and strengthening the communities in which it operates, through its international sustainable programs that support the Egyptian community with a big focus on women and significant environmental topics.<\/p>\n
