{"id":85819,"date":"2023-03-03T13:24:33","date_gmt":"2023-03-03T11:24:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.csregypt.com\/?p=85819"},"modified":"2023-03-12T13:57:09","modified_gmt":"2023-03-12T11:57:09","slug":"rizk-all-portfolios-of-paragon-developments-are-sustainable","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csregypt.com\/en\/rizk-all-portfolios-of-paragon-developments-are-sustainable\/","title":{"rendered":"Rizk: All portfolios of PARAGON DEVELOPMENTS are sustainable"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/eg.linkedin.com\/in\/bedeirrizk\">Bedeir Rizk, CEO of PARAGON Developments,<\/a> underlined that all the company\u2019s portfolios are sustainable.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">He stressed \u201call the buildings the company has built today are green and all our portfolios are sustainable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">He made the remark during the 13<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0CSR and Sustainable Development Forum which is organized by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.csregypt.com\/en\/moustafa-csr-egypt-launched-1st-sustainable-development-platform-for-children\/\">CSR Egypt<\/a>. The event opened on Thursday in the Red Sea resort city of Hurghada.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Rizk expounded that PARAGON Developments is focused on developing better workspace buildings and it does this in a sustainable way, noting that the company depends on intelligent technologies in buildings, while maintaining the human sense of designing.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cSo we&#8217;re one of the few companies I think that has only sustainable office buildings and so we cover all our roofs with solar panels,\u201d Rizk highlighted.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cWe start at the beginning of the designing process, which saves us a lot of money\u2026if you try to build sustainably, you&#8217;re incurred well more costs,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Asked about means of financing these projects, he said \u201cWe do this today through self funding\u201d, noting that the company also worked with banks but it hasn&#8217;t found the right sustainable products to work with.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">He said the maturity of the banking products is still in the early stage.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">He expounded \u201cI think first, all the partnership should start early on\u2026 of the awareness level, even from the development companies or from the banking sector and then there&#8217;s a conversation to be held at the beginning of launching the products.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">With this conversations held early on, \u201cthe developer is able to work with the bank at the acquisition of the land level .. this is the milestone I&#8217;m going to achieve and I want you to be like partner through this journey,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">He said this challenge is also found in the value chain, noting \u201cI think this conversation is to be held in every step of the value chain with the banking sector early on\u201d so that the company goes through this while the bank pledges to offer support and fund to improve the capability of the market.<\/p>\n<div id=\"gtx-trans\" style=\"position: absolute; left: 183px; top: 146.328px;\">\n<div class=\"gtx-trans-icon\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bedeir Rizk, CEO of PARAGON Developments, underlined that all the company\u2019s portfolios are sustainable.
