RMHC<\/a> Egypt injected a total investment of EGP 11 million into a two-stage project for early childhood development and in accordance with Egypt\u2019s Vision 2030 which focuses on improving the quality of life of the Egyptian citizen in various aspects of life.<\/p>\n

This project consists of two main phases; the establishment of inclusive Centers that enhance the educational and behavioral development of children, while the second phase is training calibers from the Ministry of Social Solidarity on topics related to Early Childhood Development. These topics include early detection and intervention methods for children with special needs, educating parents on issues related to children\u2019s health and wellbeing, characteristics of child growth and development across the different stages of early childhood as well as creating a medical record for each child.<\/p>\n

RMHC Egypt in cooperation with Kheir wa Baraka<\/a> NGO launched 2 Centers of Excellence for Early Childhood Development to serve children and their families, as well as offer high-quality and adequate pedagogical services through a large number of trained facilitators.<\/p>\n

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Social Solidarity in Aswan: Mohamed Youssef and Dr. Ahmed Bakkar, Sara El-Etreby, Head of RMHC Egypt Chapter, and Ahmed Ismail, CEO of Kheir Wa Baraka NGO.<\/p>\n

Stemming from RMHC Egypt\u2019s avid belief in the importance of raising the family\u2019s awareness on early childhood development issues in underprivileged communities, it transformed the community nurseries, into holistic centers that support the child and the whole family.<\/p>\n

On this occasion, Mohamed Mansour Chairman of RMHC Egypt commented: \u201cWe are proud of what we achieved at RMHC Egypt in cooperation with Kheir Wa Baraka in the field of Early Childhood Development, as we are proudly witnessing the opening of the Centers of Excellence in Aswan which certainly guarantees a better future for our children.”<\/p>\n

He added said \u201cIn addition to the Centers of Excellence in Kom Ombo and Edfu, we are aiming to launch 3 more centers in November to cover the entire governorate of Aswan, in addition to a center in Cairo and 2 in Suhag during the first quarter of 2023.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nevin El Ebrashy, Vice Chairman of RMHC Egypt and Chairman & Founder of Kheir Wa Baraka NGO, also commented saying: \u201cThe Centers of Excellence for Early Childhood Development grants our children and their families in Upper Egypt and Cairo access to the best education and health services, based on years of experience in the field of Early Childhood and Family Care, and reinforces our commitment towards the equality between all segments of society, providing high-quality education, family guidance, and awareness.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for Sara El Eterby, Head of RMHC Egypt Chapter: ” This is a proof of our commitment to evidence-based project development and field research stemming from real needs in our community, which guided us throughout each step of the project design. We joined forces with the civil society to search for the areas that were most vulnerable and required the provided interventions, and this was how the locations of the centers of Excellence were selected, in a way to reach the entire governorate through establishing a holistic hub in each of the 5 districts of Aswan\u201d<\/p>\n

She added: “Aswan\u2019s Centers of Excellence will cater to approximately 300 families, while providing many educational and recreational activities, including trips, camps, and art classes.”<\/p>\n

It is worth mentioning that RMHC Egypt is committed to studying the needs of the society to identify, assess, then prioritize community issues and optimize the use of resources.
