President Abdel Fattah El Sisi<\/a> directed to allocate additional EGP 1 billion government support for the National Alliance for Civil Development Work (NACDW) to promote social activities.<\/p>\n

The measure is taken within the framework of the president\u2019s declaration of 2022 as the year of civil society.<\/p>\n

The president\u2019s decision will also support ongoing efforts to ensure social protection of most needy citizens.<\/p>\n

This came during the president’s meeting with Prime Minister Mosutafa Madbouli and General Intelligence Chief Abbas Kamel.<\/p>\n

Heads of civil society organizations – that are members at the NACDW – attended the meeting.<\/p>\n

Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi said the meeting reviewed the alliance’s activities since its launch earlier this year.<\/p>\n

The president voiced appreciation to the social activities of the alliance which groups 24 civil societies in addition to Decent Life<\/a> Foundation and the General Federation of NGOs.<\/p>\n

The president gave directives to upgrade charity and development efforts of the alliance to expand from just offering direct assistance to creating jobs and increasing production, thus having a positive economic impact.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
