This loan is supported by concessional financing of $ 0.75 million provided by the\u00a0<a style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.greenclimate.fund\/\"><span style=\"color: #0079c1; text-decoration: none; text-underline: none;\">Green Climate Fund (GCF)<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"background: white; box-sizing: border-box; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: left; widows: 2; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; text-decoration-thickness: initial; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial; word-spacing: 0px; margin: 0cm 0cm 15.9pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 15.0pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: #2f343a;\">The GEFF, supported in Tajikistan by GCF and the\u00a0<a style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ebrd.com\/who-we-are\/structure-and-management\/shareholders\/korea.html\"><span style=\"color: #0079c1; text-decoration: none; text-underline: none;\">Republic of Korea<\/span><\/a>, will also use funds from\u00a0<a style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ebrd.com\/who-we-are\/structure-and-management\/shareholders\/european-union.html\"><span style=\"color: #0079c1; text-decoration: none; text-underline: none;\">the European Union<\/span><\/a><u style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\">\u2019s<\/u>\u00a0<a style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\" href=\"https:\/\/eeas.europa.eu\/headquarters\/headquarters-homepage\/4542\/enhanced-competitiveness-tajik-agribusiness-programme-ectap_tr\"><span style=\"color: #0079c1; text-decoration: none; text-underline: none;\">Enhanced Competitiveness of Tajik Agribusiness Programme<\/span><\/a>\u00a0(ECTAP), which promotes competitiveness in the agribusiness sector.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"background: white; box-sizing: border-box; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: left; widows: 2; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; text-decoration-thickness: initial; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial; word-spacing: 0px; margin: 0cm 0cm 15.9pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 15.0pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: #2f343a;\">The $ 1 million part of the package is provided under the EBRD\u2019s Women of the Steppe Program supported by the\u00a0<a style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\" href=\"https:\/\/we-fi.org\/\"><span style=\"color: #0079c1; text-decoration: none; text-underline: none;\">Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative<\/span><\/a>\u00a0(We-Fi) and\u00a0<a style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ebrd.com\/who-we-are\/structure-and-management\/shareholders\/switzerland.html\"><span style=\"color: #0079c1; text-decoration: none; text-underline: none;\">Switzerland<\/span><\/a>\u00a0through the\u00a0<a style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ebrd.com\/what-we-do\/sectors-and-topics\/donor-support-for-small-businesses.htmlhttps:\/www.ebrd.com\/what-we-do\/sectors-and-topics\/donor-support-for-small-businesses.html\"><span style=\"color: #0079c1; text-decoration: none; text-underline: none;\">Small Business Impact Fund<\/span><\/a>\u00a0(SBIF). This component of the package will help promote women\u2019s entrepreneurship and business activity by assisting with access to finance, know-how and technical advice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"background: white; box-sizing: border-box; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: left; widows: 2; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; text-decoration-thickness: initial; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial; word-spacing: 0px; margin: 0cm 0cm 15.9pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 15.0pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: #2f343a;\">The two financial institutions are also signing a risk-sharing agreement of up to US$ 3 million under which the EBRD will share up to 50 per cent of the risk on loans provided by Bank Arvand. This will allow the Tajikistan lender to provide much needed loans to SMEs in rural and remote parts of the country. Arvand Bank is the third financial institution in the country to sign such a facility with the EBRD.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"background: white; box-sizing: border-box; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: left; widows: 2; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; text-decoration-thickness: initial; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial; word-spacing: 0px; margin: 0cm 0cm 15.9pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 15.0pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: #2f343a;\">The GEFF program is part of the Bank\u2019s\u00a0<a style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ebrd.com\/what-we-do\/get.html\"><span style=\"color: #0079c1; text-decoration: none; text-underline: none;\">Green Economy Transition (GET)<\/span><\/a>\u00a0approach. It operates through a network of more than 145 local financial institutions across 27 countries, supported by more than \u20ac4.6 billion of EBRD finance for 190,000 clients to date.
