{"id":75227,"date":"2022-02-15T08:52:24","date_gmt":"2022-02-15T06:52:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.csregypt.com\/?p=75227"},"modified":"2022-02-15T08:52:24","modified_gmt":"2022-02-15T06:52:24","slug":"cib-egypt-on-2022-bloomberg-gender-equality-index-for-4th-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csregypt.com\/en\/cib-egypt-on-2022-bloomberg-gender-equality-index-for-4th-year\/","title":{"rendered":"CIB Egypt on 2022 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index for 4th year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.csregypt.com\/en\/cib-becomes-first-private-sector-issuer-of-green-bonds-in-egypt\/\">Commercial International Bank (CIB)<\/a>, Egypt\u2019s leading private sector bank, has announced its inclusion on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/gei\/\">the 2022 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI)<\/a> for the fourth straight year.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The Bloomberg GEI is a global modified market capitalization-weighted index that collects gender-related social metrics and data performance from publicly-held companies that are committed to transparency in gender-related reporting and in implementing gender equality in their workplaces.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cIt is of utmost importance to us at CIB to ensure that our internal policies reflect our commitment to creating a safe and empowering environment for women,\u201d said Mr. Mohamed Sultan, CIB\u2019s Chief Operating Officer. \u201cCreating such an environment will help foster the talents of all our employees equally.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cWe continuously strive to implement the values of fairness and equality, part of CIB\u2019s ethos, in our work environment and culture, business practices, and our community,\u201d said Dr. Dalia Abdel Kader, Chief Sustainability Officer at CIB. \u201cWe are deeply honored to have these efforts recognized for the fourth year in a row by Bloomberg, and we aim to always contribute to their efforts in creating a new standard of transparency in data reporting.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cWe are proud to recognize CIB and the other 417 companies included in the 2022 GEI for their commitment to transparency and setting a new standard in gender-related data reporting,\u201d said Peter T. Grauer, Chairman of Bloomberg and Founding Chairman of the U.S. 30% Club. \u201cEven though the threshold for inclusion in the GEI has risen, the member list continues to grow. This is a testament that more companies are working to improve upon their gender-related metrics, fostering more opportunity for diverse talent to succeed in their organizations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">CIB submitted a detailed social survey created by Bloomberg, in collaboration with subject matter experts globally. Those included on this year\u2019s index scored at or above a global threshold established by Bloomberg to reflect disclosure and the achievement or adoption of best-in-class statistics and policies.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The GEI\u2019s scoring methodology takes into consideration everything from equal pay and gender pay parity to anti-sexual harassment policies.
