It achieved an overall score of 78%, up from 68% the previous year and above the index average score of 71%.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The\u00a0GEI\u00a0measures gender equality across five pillars: female leadership and talent pipeline, equal pay and gender pay parity, inclusive culture, anti-sexual harassment policies, and pro-women brands.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">&#8220;We&#8217;re pleased our efforts to support and champion gender equality are recognized again in this year&#8217;s index. We know that improving gender balance will lead to better decisions, stronger innovation and higher work satisfaction. This is why we have set measurable goals to track our progress and hold ourselves accountable. It&#8217;s a journey we are committed to and one where we will challenge ourselves to keep doing better&#8221; said B\u00e9atrice Guillaume-Grabisch, Head of Group Human Resources and Global Business Services.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Nestl\u00e9 has made strides to improve gender equality in the workplace. Women hold 43.9% of the company&#8217;s managerial positions and Nestl\u00e9 has\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nestle.com\/media\/pressreleases\/allpressreleases\/nestle-accelerates-efforts-to-increase-the-number-of-women-in-senior-executive-positions-by-2022\">committed to increase the number of women in its top 200+ senior executive positions to 30% by 2022<\/a>. The company is on track to achieve this goal by the end of the year.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">As the company continues to build a more diverse and inclusive workforce, it has put in place a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nestle.com\/media\/pressreleases\/allpressreleases\/nestle-supports-families-new-parental-leave-policy\">gender-neutral Global Parental Support Policy<\/a>. The policy recognizes that parental roles are not solely defined by gender and provides support that is flexible enough to work for any family unit.
