{"id":67614,"date":"2021-06-14T18:52:48","date_gmt":"2021-06-14T16:52:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.csregypt.com\/?p=67614"},"modified":"2021-06-14T18:52:48","modified_gmt":"2021-06-14T16:52:48","slug":"finance-in-motion-investing-20-m-in-benban-solar-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csregypt.com\/en\/finance-in-motion-investing-20-m-in-benban-solar-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Finance in Motion investing $ 20 m in Benban Solar project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Finance in Motion is directly investing 20 million dollars in Egypt\u2019s Benban Solar project, head of\u00a0Finance in Motion&#8217;s\u00a0Cairo office Mohamed Morsy said.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">He made the remarks on Monday during the third edition of the Forum on Strategies for Transition to Green Economy which is organized by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.csregypt.com\/en\/csr-egypt-to-launch-its-1st-award-for-best-csr-sustainable-business-program-in-april\/\">CSR Egypt.<\/a><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">He noted that the company has a portfolio of the assets under-management in Egypt of 250 million dollars.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">He hailed the progress realized in Egypt in bankrolling small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs).<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">He noted that the company started in Egypt in 2014 and the situation was totally different. The banks were skeptical about extending creditlines for SMEs.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">He said it took almost six to seven years to change the mindset of the banks which became aware of the importance of SMEs.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">He noted, however, that the access of small agricultural projects to finance is very low and the company is collaborating with I Score in a big project in this regard.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">It is working on tailoring a credit scoring model to be used for financial institutions to speed up the analysis of those projects.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Meanwhile, he noted said the company has operations in 45 countries spanning across Latin America, the Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East region and will expand to south east Asia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Finance in Motion is directly investing 20 million dollars in Egypt\u2019s Benban Solar project, head of\u00a0Finance in Motion&#8217;s\u00a0Cairo office Mohamed Morsy said.
