{"id":63045,"date":"2021-02-03T10:15:39","date_gmt":"2021-02-03T08:15:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.csregypt.com\/?p=63045"},"modified":"2021-02-03T10:15:39","modified_gmt":"2021-02-03T08:15:39","slug":"ebrd-attijari-bank-back-tunisian-smes-by-tnd-20-m","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csregypt.com\/en\/ebrd-attijari-bank-back-tunisian-smes-by-tnd-20-m\/","title":{"rendered":"EBRD, Attijari Bank back Tunisian SMEs by TND 20 m"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.csregypt.com\/en\/ebrd-gets-e489-m-grants-in-2020-to-promote-green-economy\/\">The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)<\/a> teamed up with Attijari Bank of Tunisia to support the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ebrd.com\/tunisia.html\">Tunisian<\/a>\u00a0micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) by up to TND 20 million.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The Bank is providing\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.attijaribank.com.tn\/Fr\/\">Attijari Bank of Tunisia<\/a>\u00a0with an unfunded risk-sharing guarantee of 50 percent on a loan to Enda Tamweel, the leading microfinance institution in the country.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Under the EBRD\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ebrd.com\/what-we-do\/sectors-and-topics\/sbifinancialproducts.html\">Risk Sharing Framework<\/a>\u00a0(RSF), Attijari Bank of Tunisia is extending a loan of up to TND 20 million to Enda Tamweel for on-lending to local MSMEs which are its core customers and need financial support to cover their liquidity shortages due to the impact of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ebrd.com\/what-we-do\/coronavirus\">coronavirus pandemic<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The Covid-19 crisis is affecting Tunisian companies of all sizes, especially those that generate the majority of their revenues from the tourism, hospitality, services, transport and other heavily affected sectors.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Support for small business in the country is a priority for the EBRD in its work to strengthen the Tunisian economy.
