{"id":61973,"date":"2020-12-21T22:52:31","date_gmt":"2020-12-21T20:52:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.csregypt.com\/?p=61973"},"modified":"2020-12-21T22:54:44","modified_gmt":"2020-12-21T20:54:44","slug":"morocco-launches-its-1st-local-made-smart-charger-of-e-vehicle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csregypt.com\/en\/morocco-launches-its-1st-local-made-smart-charger-of-e-vehicle\/","title":{"rendered":"Morocco launches its 1st local-made smart charger of e-vehicles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The Moroccan Ministry of Industry, Investment, Trade and Digital Economy unveiled the first local-made smart charger of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.csregypt.com\/en\/uber-pledges-5m-toward-electric-vehicle-charging-points-in-london\/\">electric vehicles.<\/a><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">At a press conference on Monday, Minister of Industry, Investment, Trade and Digital Economy Hafid Elalamy said &#8220;ISmart&#8221; charger is the fruit of a developed research of the &#8220;Green Energy Park&#8221; with the framework of efforts to cope with automobile industry development.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Moroccan engineers from the Research Institute for Solar Energy and New Energies (IRESEN) and the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) contributed to the development of the smart charger; an effort which was backed by the ministries of trade and energy.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Elalamy said the the automobile sector is witnessing a remarkable change with the world shifting to the use of electric cars to curb greenhouse gas emissions and combat climate change.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">&#8220;ISmart&#8221; is a new generation of smart chargers for professional and household usage, he said, noting that it mainly targets the Moroccan market.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">He noted that a factory for producing this new generation of smart chargers will be given the go-ahead in 2022 with the support of the Moroccan Ministry of Industry, Investment, Trade and Digital Economy.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The factory&#8217;s capacity is expected to reach 5,000 chargers annually, he added.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The IRESEN director general said the price of ISmart charger will range between 700 to 900 dollars, adding that t this will promote its competitiveness at the international level.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Moroccan Ministry of Industry, Investment, Trade and Digital Economy unveiled the first local-made smart charger of electric vehicles.
