Nestl\u00e9 <\/a>\u00a0joined hands with the French retailer Carrefour and Loop \u2013 a global circular company \u2013 to offer reusable\u00a0containers for\u00a0Nesquik\u00a0cocoa powder,\u00a0Ricor\u00e9\u00a0chicory and coffee drink, as well as\u00a0Chocapic Bio\u00a0cereals.<\/p>\n

This falls within the framework of the company\u2019s efforts to promote circular economy and reduce greenhouse emissions.<\/p>\n

This is the latest result of Nestl\u00e9’s efforts to reduce packaging through the use of alternative packaging delivery systems.<\/p>\n

Consumers can access the cocoa, coffee and chicory drink, and cereal products in reusable stainless-steel containers through Carrefour’s e-commerce delivery platform. By the end of the year, the products will be available online and in 10 Carrefour stores in and around Paris.<\/p>\n

Once consumed, the empty containers are collected from the consumer’s home or dropped off by the consumer in the stores. The containers are then cleaned, refilled and put back in Loop platform’s circular system.<\/p>\n

Experts from Nestl\u00e9’s Institute of Packaging Sciences tested the new containers to ensure that they keep the product fresh and safe throughout the shelf-life.<\/p>\n

With the addition of the three new brands to the Loop platform, Nestl\u00e9 is continuing its efforts to reduce the environmental footprint of its packaging, while contributing to a circular economy.<\/p>\n

Currently Nestl\u00e9’s partnership with Carrefour and Loop in France includes a\u00a0home delivery and deposit system for\u00a0Vittel<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0S.Pellegrino<\/em><\/a>\u00a0natural mineral water in reusable glass bottles.<\/p>\n

Nestl\u00e9 also recently\u00a0launched the first cat litter in a durable and refillable container<\/a>\u00a0via Loop’s eCommerce platform in the\u00a0U.S.<\/p>\n
