{"id":59207,"date":"2020-09-20T23:11:23","date_gmt":"2020-09-20T21:11:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.csregypt.com\/?p=59207"},"modified":"2020-09-20T23:11:23","modified_gmt":"2020-09-20T21:11:23","slug":"bp-microsoft-partner-to-attain-decarbonization-ambitions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csregypt.com\/en\/bp-microsoft-partner-to-attain-decarbonization-ambitions\/","title":{"rendered":"Bp, Microsoft partner to attain decarbonization ambitions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Bp and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.csregypt.com\/en\/unicef-microsoft-cambridge-univ-join-forces-to-launch-learning-passport\/\">Microsoft<\/a> have been engaged in a new partnership to attain their decarbonization ambitions in line with the Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs).<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">bp and Microsoft Corp. have announced that they have agreed to collaborate as strategic partners to further digital transformation in energy systems and advance the net zero carbon goals of both companies.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">This includes a co-innovation effort focused on digital solutions, the continued use of Microsoft Azure as a cloud-based solution for bp infrastructure and bp supplying renewable energy to help Microsoft meet its 2025 renewable energy goals.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cbp is determined to get to net zero and to help the world do the same. No one can do it alone \u2013 partnerships with leading companies like Microsoft, with aligned ambitions, is going to be key to achieving this,\u201d said William Lin, bp executive vice president for regions, cities and solutions.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cBy bringing our complementary skills and experience together, we are not only helping each other achieve our decarbonization ambitions but also creating opportunities to support others on their journey towards reducing carbon emissions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cbp shares our vision for a net zero carbon future, and we are committed to working together to drive reductions in carbon emissions and fulfill demand with new renewable energy sources,\u201d said Judson Althoff, executive vice president of Microsoft\u2019s Worldwide Commercial Business.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cA strategic partnership such as this enables each organization to bring its unique expertise for industry-leading change and the potential to positively impact billions of lives around the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Earlier this year, bp announced its ambition to become a net zero emissions company by 2050 or sooner, and to help the world reach net zero.
