{"id":57714,"date":"2020-07-31T12:39:15","date_gmt":"2020-07-31T10:39:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.csregypt.com\/?p=57714"},"modified":"2020-07-31T12:39:15","modified_gmt":"2020-07-31T10:39:15","slug":"sisi-earmarks-egp-100m-for-ataa-fund-for-backing-handicapped","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csregypt.com\/en\/sisi-earmarks-egp-100m-for-ataa-fund-for-backing-handicapped\/","title":{"rendered":"Sisi earmarks EGP 100m for Ataa Fund for backing handicapped"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has allocated EGP 100 million for Ataa Fund for supporting disabled persons.\u00a0The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.csregypt.com\/en\/tahya-misr-fund-earmarks-egp-80m-for-1st-fund-for-supporting-handicapped\/\">Tahya Misr Fund<\/a> will pay the money within the framework of the state\u2019s efforts to offer better services for the handicapped.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The Tahya Misr Fund has participated in the establishment of Ataa Fund &#8211; the first charitable investment fund &#8211; with a contribution of 80 million pounds, to allocate its revenues in providing sustainable financing for the care of people with special needs in the areas of diagnosis, treatment, provision of prosthetic devices, education, skills needed to find job opportunities, community integration, and the different programs that support them.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">President Sisi made the remarks during a meeting with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli and Social Solidarity Minister Niveen Qabaaj.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi said the meeting tackled a host of projects being implemented by the ministry within the framework of initiatives and social protection programs.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Meanwhile, President Sisi also gave directives to governmental bodies to support the Social Solidarity Ministry for implementing an initiative for backing homeless children.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The ministry has launched the national program for homeless children protection to offer rations and rehabilitation services to integrate children with their families or with social welfare homes.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The program \u2013 in which the \u201cTahya Misr Fund\u201d participates &#8211; witnessed a remarkable success, as the number of beneficiaries of the program by the end of 2019 reached 23 thousand children, including 6029 homeless children, 12,983 children working on the street, and 3,891 children were reintegrated with their families again.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">During 2019, the space of the work of the mobile units of the program was expanded to include 14 governorates instead of 10 governorates.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The talks also tackled the progress realized so far in developing 1,000 poor villages nationwide under the presidential initiative \u201cDecent Life\u201d which aimed to assist people living in underprivileged villages.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Egypt has completed 61% of &#8216;Decent Life&#8217; initiative&#8217;s first phase projects, which are being implemented in 143 villages at a total value of EGP 3.85\u00a0billion.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">As part of the first phase, the country will also grant\u00a0EGP 400 million facilities to\u00a0small and medium-sized enterprises\u00a0(SMEs)\u00a0and\u00a0EGP 10 million to vocational and professional\u00a0training programs to help\u00a0citizens of targeted villages.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The initiative&#8217;s second phase valued at about\u00a0EGP 8 billion will develop 375 villages during fiscal year 2020\/2021.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has allocated EGP 100 million for Ataa Fund for supporting disabled persons.\u00a0The Tahya Misr Fund will pay the money within the framework of the state\u2019s efforts to offer better services for the handicapped.
