Jumia Egypt<\/a> Chairman Dr Hisham Safwat said the coronavirus crisis has highlighted the corporate social responsibility (CSR)<\/a> efforts being exerted by the company.<\/p>\n

The company has cooperated with a number of ministries to serve society during this period.<\/p>\n

The company has for example collaborated with the Health Ministry to present videos contributing to raising people\u2019s awareness. It has also cooperated with the Supply Ministry.<\/p>\n

In exclusive statements, Safwat said Jumia offered discounts in tandem with a number of banks, including the National Bank of Egypt, Banque Misr, Bank Audi, Bank of Alexandria, CIB, and the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank.<\/p>\n

The offers included free-interest installments and encouraged e-payment.<\/p>\n

Safwat said youths aging between 18 to 35 years old are the most interested in buying from Jumia, but more people joined online purchase during the coronavirus period.<\/p>\n

Safwat said e-commerce and e-payment will undoubtedly be at the forefront in the coming period and that youths will resort during these circumstances to buy all their needs online via key platforms, like Jumia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
