Schneider Electric<\/a> has issued the 2018 \u2013 2020 Schneider Sustainability Impact (SSI) report to highlight the progress realized so far in proceeding with its sustainability march.<\/p>\n

The quarterly issued report is a collection of the company\u2019s sustainability goals, grouped under five megatrends.<\/p>\n

Schneider Electric uses the SSI to share and measure its progress toward its own sustainability objectives, which are closely tied to the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).<\/p>\n

Schneider Electric developed 21 initiatives to support the 17 UN SDGs which are meant to protect the planet, alleviate poverty, and achieve worldwide peace and justice.<\/p>\n

Schneider Electric upholds its commitments to the SDGs and establishes itself as an industry leader in corporate social responsibility (CSR).<\/p>\n

Beyond the SSI, the company also instills a culture around sustainability through performance incentives for employees and leadership. These incentives encourage leaders to prioritize decisions that improve sustainability performance and uphold the SDGs.<\/p>\n

Up to 20 percent of the variable portion of its leadership\u2019s performance shares depend on achieving SSI targets. In addition, over 10,000 employees in France are incentivized through the SSI.<\/p>\n

The company committed to combating climate change:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Schneider Electric is scheduled to achieve carbon neutrality across its extended supply chain by 2030.<\/p>\n

By 2050, the company will realize a 60 percent absolute CO2\u00a0reduction for Scopes 1 and 2, meaning, respectively, its direct CO2\u00a0emissions and its indirect CO2\u00a0emissions from energy it purchased.<\/p>\n

The company\u2019s 2020 goals also include having\u00a080%\u00a0renewable electricity and\u00a010%\u00a0CO2\u00a0efficiency in transportation.<\/p>\n

The 2020 goals also seek that 120 million metric tons\u00a0<\/strong>of CO2\u00a0avoided on the company\u2019s customers\u2019 end through its offers.<\/p>\n

The company has also targeted 25% increase in turnover for its EcoStruxure\u2122 Energy & Sustainability Services.<\/p>\n

By 2025, Schneider Electric will deliver low-carbon lighting and communication solutions to 50 million people.<\/p>\n

The company will also provide energy skills to one million underprivileged people.<\/p>\n

Under the 2020 goals, 400,000 underprivileged people were trained in energy management.<\/p>\n

How Schneider Electric backs circular economy:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The company\u2019s goals for 2020 include\u00a0200\u00a0sites labeled toward zero waste to landfill in addition to 100%cardboard and pallets for transport packing from recycled or certified sources<\/p>\n

Since 2015, the company offers are based on the Schneider ecoDesign Way\u2122<\/sup>, which ensures its products are easy to maintain, repair, retrofit, and reprocess at the end of their life cycles.<\/p>\n

The company has also labeled 178 sites as \u201ctoward zero waste to landfill.\u201d<\/p>\n

Schneider\u2019s commitment to SDG 3 on Health & Well-being:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Schneider Electric’s employee well-being program has been deployed globally since 2015.<\/p>\n

It takes a holistic view of well-being, spanning physical, mental, emotional, and social dimensions. In addition, the company ensures gender pay equity across its value chain.<\/p>\n

The company\u2019s 2020 goals aim to get 90%\u00a0of employees to have access to a comprehensive well-being at work program.<\/p>\n

Under the company\u2019s goals, 100% <\/b>of workers received 15 hours of learning in the year with 30% digital learning.<\/p>\n

About 90% <\/b>of white-collar workers have an individual development plan.<\/p>\n

Moreover, 95% <\/b>of employees are working in a country with a commitment and process in place to achieve gender pay equity.<\/p>\n

The company’s VolunteerIn global platform managed to record 15,000 volunteering days.<\/p>\n
