{"id":54583,"date":"2020-04-04T15:11:23","date_gmt":"2020-04-04T13:11:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.csregypt.com\/?p=54583"},"modified":"2020-04-14T15:27:46","modified_gmt":"2020-04-14T13:27:46","slug":"sawiris-foundation-donates-le100-million-to-support-egypts-fight-against-virus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csregypt.com\/en\/sawiris-foundation-donates-le100-million-to-support-egypts-fight-against-virus\/","title":{"rendered":"Sawiris Foundation donates LE100 million to support Egypt\u2019s fight against virus"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"col-md-7 overflow-hidden\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The Sawiris Foundation for Social Development announced that it will add LE100 million to its 2020 budget to support the country\u2019s efforts in fighting the coronavirus, bringing the foundation\u2019s budget this year to LE290 million.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Since last week the foundation has been supporting rapid relief initiatives, it said in a statement, with LE40 million allocated to support daily wage workers and families in need and LE60 million donated to aid the government and Health Ministry\u2019s preventive measures.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The foundation is also supporting workers in the tourism sector and granting aid to the elderly and children in care homes, while also helping the detection of cases in poor and remote villages and providing equipment and medical supplies.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">This decision came from the foundation\u2019s board of trustees to tackle the repercussions of this outbreak and the challenges it poses to the entire world, the statement added.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">In these unprecedented times, the foundation stated it would help meet Egypt\u2019s needs.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">This support falls under the mission and vision of the foundation, which was founded in 2001 by the Sawiris Family as one of the first national donors to address issues facing Egyptian society such as poverty, unemployment, health, and education.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Sawiris Foundation for Social Development announced that it will add LE100 million to its 2020 budget to support the country\u2019s efforts in fighting the coronavirus, bringing the foundation\u2019s budget this year to LE290 million.
