{"id":54128,"date":"2020-04-05T23:14:42","date_gmt":"2020-04-05T21:14:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.csregypt.com\/?p=54128"},"modified":"2020-04-05T23:14:42","modified_gmt":"2020-04-05T21:14:42","slug":"lyst-sees-slow-fashion-on-the-rise-in-sustainable-fashion-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csregypt.com\/en\/lyst-sees-slow-fashion-on-the-rise-in-sustainable-fashion-report\/","title":{"rendered":"Lyst Sees \u2018Slow Fashion\u2019 on the Rise in Sustainable Fashion Report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Shopping search platform Lyst has unveiled its sustainable fashion report for 2020, delving into the sustainable brands, products and keywords shifting consumer culture.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Over the past year, \u201cslow fashion\u201d has generated 90 million social impressions \u201csuggesting the beginning of a shift in shopping behaviors,\u201d as the report said.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The company garnered insights from more than 100 million shoppers that used its platform over the past year, while also tapping fashion rating organization Good on You and Google for data.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">While its February index for the fourth quarter catalogued the \u201chottest brands\u201d like Off-White and Moncler, this report focused only on sustainable fashion, which the platform defines as \u201cprotecting the future of our planet and its people when we design, create and wear our clothes,\u201d also taking into account welfare of animals.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Topping the list for most sneaker searches was French brand Veja, up 115 percent year-over-year with brands like\u00a0<a id=\"auto-tag_stella-mccartney\" href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/tag\/stella-mccartney\/\" data-tag=\"stella-mccartney\">Stella McCartney<\/a>\u00a0up for vegan sneaker shoppers.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">On an individual item level, Girlfriend Collective\u2019s leggings, which are made from recycled plastic bottles and\u00a0<a id=\"auto-tag_reformation\" href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/tag\/reformation\/\" data-tag=\"reformation\">Reformation<\/a>\u2019s \u201cJuliette dress\u201d fared well with shoppers, with hunts for lesser-known brands such as Nudie Jeans and Bassike clothing, both proponents for organic cotton, increasing.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cVegan leather\u201d saw searches increase 69 percent year-over-year. And over the past three months, searches for \u201cupcycled fashion\u201d has grown 42 percent.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Independent labels such as Mother of Pearl, Ecoalf, Maggie Marilyn and others came up as ones to watch.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">What are the cultural moments that catalyzed interest among global consumers?<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The report found moments such as last spring\u2019s Econyl (regenerated nylon) capsule collections from Prada and Burberry as well as Taylor Swift\u2019s vintage Chanel jacket for British Vogue\u2019s January cover story as compelling.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Last year, Lyst\u2019s \u201cYear in Fashion\u201d report showed an uptick in\u00a0<a id=\"auto-tag_sustainability\" href=\"https:\/\/wwd.com\/tag\/sustainability\/\" data-tag=\"sustainability\">sustainability<\/a>-related terms, which increased 75 percent year-on-year.
