{"id":53967,"date":"2020-04-01T06:13:46","date_gmt":"2020-04-01T04:13:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.csregypt.com\/?p=53967"},"modified":"2020-04-01T06:13:46","modified_gmt":"2020-04-01T04:13:46","slug":"ebrd-grants-e7-5-m-loan-to-support-ukrainian-smes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csregypt.com\/en\/ebrd-grants-e7-5-m-loan-to-support-ukrainian-smes\/","title":{"rendered":"EBRD grants \u20ac7.5 m loan to support Ukrainian SMEs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) decided to extend a \u20ac7.5 million loan to Bank Lviv to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in western <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ebrd.com\/ukraine.html\">Ukraine<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The loan \u2013 provided under the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.eu4business.eu\/programme\/eu4business-ebrd-credit-line\">EU4Business-EBRD Credit Line<\/a> &#8211;\u00a0will be available for disbursement in Ukrainian Hryvna, which will protect Bank Lviv\u2019s borrowers from foreign currency-related risks, and offer long maturities.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The funds are provided in the context of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/trade\/policy\/countries-and-regions\/countries\/ukraine\/index_en.htm\">Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement<\/a>\u00a0(DCFTA) between the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ebrd.com\/who-we-are\/structure-and-management\/shareholders\/european-union.html\">European Union<\/a>\u00a0(EU) and Ukraine. EU grants will be offered as investment incentives to eligible enterprises to reduce the cost of their capital expenditure on upgrades of technology and production processes to comply with EU standards and regulations.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Bank Lviv and its clients will also receive technical assistance from the\u00a0EU4Business-EBRD Credit Line\u00a0consultants, who will assist with projects preparation and implementation.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Bank Lviv CEO Ashot Abrahamyan said \u201cThe deal we signed today with the EBRD represents a convincing example of what real partnership means in difficult times. As a bank, we are committed to continue providing financing to SMEs, especially to agricultural producers.
