{"id":53704,"date":"2020-03-23T20:47:20","date_gmt":"2020-03-23T18:47:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.csregypt.com\/?p=53704"},"modified":"2020-03-23T20:47:20","modified_gmt":"2020-03-23T18:47:20","slug":"fifa-launches-covid-19-awareness-campaign-pledges-10m-for-who","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csregypt.com\/en\/fifa-launches-covid-19-awareness-campaign-pledges-10m-for-who\/","title":{"rendered":"FIFA launches COVID-19 awareness campaign, pledges $ 10m for WHO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">FIFA renowned footballers launched\u00a0 &#8216;Pass the message to kick out coronavirus&#8217; campaign and pledged $10 million to support the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization (WHO).<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">FIFA and the World Health Organization have teamed up to combat the coronavirus (COVID-19) by launching this new awareness campaign which calls on all people around the world to follow five key steps to stop the spread of the disease, topped by hand washing, coughing etiquette, not touching your face, physical distance and staying home if feeling unwell.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Twenty-eight players are involved in the video campaign, which is being published in 13 languages.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cFIFA and its President Gianni Infantino have been actively involved in passing the message against this pandemic since the very beginning,\u201d said WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus at the virtual launch of the campaign at WHO headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. \u201cBe it through campaigns or funding, FIFA has stood up to the coronavirus, and I am delighted that world football is supporting WHO to kick out the coronavirus. I have no doubt with this type of support that together we will win.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cWe need teamwork to combat the coronavirus,\u201d said FIFA President Gianni Infantino. \u201cFIFA has teamed up with WHO because health comes first. I call upon the football community worldwide to join us in supporting this campaign to pass the message even further.
