{"id":52601,"date":"2020-03-01T19:32:48","date_gmt":"2020-03-01T17:32:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.csregypt.com\/?p=52601"},"modified":"2020-04-29T22:55:18","modified_gmt":"2020-04-29T20:55:18","slug":"banque-misr-contributes-egp-30-m-to-al-nas-hospital","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csregypt.com\/en\/banque-misr-contributes-egp-30-m-to-al-nas-hospital\/","title":{"rendered":"Banque Misr contributes EGP 30 m to Al Nas Hospital"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The Banque Misr has inked a 30-million-pound cooperation protocol with Al Joud Foundation to provide needed equipment to the Al Nas Hospital for children.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The funds are meant to support the radiology center of the hospital which offers medical services for free.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The hospital &#8211; located in the densely-populated area of\u00a0Shubra El Kheimah in Qalubiya governorate &#8211; is deemed as one of the largest and distinguished medical centers in the Arab region and Africa.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The hospital &#8211; with an accommodation\u00a0capacity of about 600 beds &#8211; offers medical services up to the international level.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The inking of the protocol underlined the bank&#8217;s pioneering role in the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) domain which is one the main axes of the bank&#8217;s strategy, especially in view of the efforts exerted by the Banque Misr Foundation for social development.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left;\">Banque Misr honored for over EGP 750 million CSR spending in 2019<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The Banque Misr spent over EGP 750 million on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects in 2018-2019 fiscal year, marking a\u00a0 EGP 100 million rise in comparison with the 2017-2018 fiscal year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The bank contributes to a large number to projects, especially in the fields of education, health and rural development, with an aim to realize social development.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">He added that the bank also worked on creating jobs as well as empowering youth and women, particularly female breadwinners.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">On 18 December 2019, Banque Misr joined hands with the National Bank of Egypt to sign a cooperation protocol with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unescwa.org\/general-authority-roads-bridges-and-land-transport\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.unescwa.org\/general-authority-roads-bridges-and-land-transport&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1583168768206000&amp;usg=AFQjCNE0Vm-VVu-Y7i0qIx8Ym9Y1tfbCRw\">General Authority for Roads, Bridges and Land Transport \u00a0<\/a>to jointly contribute EGP 1.8 billion in three years for renovating the ring road of Greater Cairo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Banque Misr is committed to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) &#8211; an independent international organization that has pioneered sustainability reporting since 1997, and the United National Global Compact &#8211; a\u00a0UN\u00a0initiative that establishes ten general principles for companies&#8217;\u00a0CSR\u00a0activities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">International Finance named Banque Misr as the best in the fields of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)\u00a0 and Islamic banking transactions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The bank was also named\u00a0 as the best institution for Islamic banking transactions by the International Business Magazine and the Global Business Outlook\u00a0 in 2109.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The bank copped about 23 awards and advanced positions during 2019 from heavyweight international associations and magazines.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Banque Misr has inked a 30-million-pound cooperation protocol with Al Joud Foundation to provide needed equipment to the Al Nas Hospital for children.
