{"id":50307,"date":"2020-01-13T20:27:35","date_gmt":"2020-01-13T18:27:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.csregypt.com\/?p=50307"},"modified":"2020-01-13T20:27:35","modified_gmt":"2020-01-13T18:27:35","slug":"careem-awards-customers-donate-over-egp-2-m-in-six-months","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csregypt.com\/en\/careem-awards-customers-donate-over-egp-2-m-in-six-months\/","title":{"rendered":"Careem Awards customers donate over EGP 2 m in six months"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"direction: ltr;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.careem.com\/en-eg\/\">Careem Egypt<\/a> customers donated more than 2 million pounds in six months via Careem Awards application to a number of local and international institutions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">The Careem Awards application was launched during the holy fasting of month Ramadan for customers to either redeem rewards or give donations to institutions, such as Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation, Ahl Masr Hospital for burns treatment, Baheya Foundation For Treatment Of Breast Cancer, the United Nations World Food Program and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Careem Egypt General Manager Rania Gaafar said \u201cWe proud that our customers\u2019 donations via our smart application hit this number.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">She added that the company is ready for cooperating with major development institutions for donations of Careem Awards customers to reach most needy people.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">She noted that this underlined Careem\u2019s outstanding efforts to make use of technology in serving society.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Careem Egypt has launched several Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives since joining the Egyptian market.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Careem launched Go Kheir application during the holy fasting Ramadan and managed to collect more than EGP 1 million donations for Children\u2019s Cancer Hospital Egypt 57357.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Careem has also sought to help handicapped people in Alexandria through renovating streets in Alexandria city to facilitate handicapped people\u2019s movement with their wheelchairs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">The company has also worked on training handicapped people and securing jobs for them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Careem Egypt has also joined hands with Misr El Kheir Foundation to launch a campaign for educating children in line with Sustainable Development Goal 4 on Quality Education.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Careem urged its customers to proceed with their charity works after the holy fasting month of Ramadan through contributing to this campaign under the hashtag #YallaLetsDonate #makeadifference #.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Careem has remarkable CSR activities in Egypt. The company has cooperated with Egypt Food Bank to offer meals for free for hundreds of poor Egyptian families.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Careem has also contributed to a one-million-blanket campaign to help thousands of Egyptians enjoy warmness in winter.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Careem has also cooperated with Abul Rish hospital to collect donations to help treating children through channeling two pounds of each ride having the promocode of the donation campaign to support Abul Rish Hospital.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Careem has also collaborated with Baheya Foundation For Treatment Of Breast Cancer in launching a campaign for spreading awareness about the importance of early detection of breast cancer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">The campaign was meant to encourage the largest number of women to undergo check-up for free within the framework of the one-month campaign.
