A galaxy of heavyweight companies and banks sponsor the World Youth Forum (WYF) \u2013 which is due to kick off in the Egyptian Red Sea resort city of Sharm El Sheikh on December 14 through 17.<\/p>\n
The list of the forum’s official sponsors include the National Bank of Egypt, Banque Misr, Banque du Caire, CIB, Qatar National Bank (QNB), Al Baraka Bank, EG Bank, Societe Arabe Internationale de Banque (SAIB), Arab African International Bank, Faisal Islamic Bank, BLOM Bank, Telecom Egypt (WE) and Coca Cola Company, sources from the forum’s administration said.<\/p>\n
EgyptAir will be the official carrier of the forum’s guests. The forum’s logo was placed on the company’s planes, cars and equipment to promote the international event.<\/p>\n
The forum will focus on three main issues; namely peace, development and innovation.<\/p>\n
The World Youth Forum is an annual event held under the auspices of President Abdel Fatah El Sisi. It was first held in November 2017 where it engaged youth globally in an enriching set-up, allowing them to exchange views and recommend initiatives to decision-makers and influential figures.<\/p>\n
Heads of states and government attend the event alongside international young leaders, prominent international figures and youth groups from around the world.<\/p>\n
In the 2017 edition, the participating leaders and experts discussed various international and regional issues, including crises of migration and refugees, democracy and human rights, African stability and development, and globalization and cultural identity, as well as technology and social media and their impact on the population.<\/p>\n
In November 2018, nearly 122,000 youth from 195 countries registered for the second edition of WYF \u00a0and 5,000 youth from 145 countries took part in the forum, compared to 3,000 participants in 2017.<\/p>\n
