{"id":47111,"date":"2019-11-26T20:40:06","date_gmt":"2019-11-26T18:40:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.csregypt.com\/?p=47111"},"modified":"2019-11-26T20:40:36","modified_gmt":"2019-11-26T18:40:36","slug":"zahi-hawwas-first-egyptian-african-to-win-karic-foundation-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csregypt.com\/en\/zahi-hawwas-first-egyptian-african-to-win-karic-foundation-award\/","title":{"rendered":"Zahi Hawwas first Egyptian, African to win Karic Foundation award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Renowned Egyptologist Zahi Hawwas is the first Egyptian and African person to cop the annual award of Karic Foundation in Serbia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">He won the 2019 award for scientific and research work for his outstanding contributions in the archaeological score.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">The honoring ceremony was attended by around 500 intellectuals, politicians, and Egyptian ambassador to Belgrade Amr El-Goueily.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">The award was also bestowed on five other figures from Greece, Italy, Czech, and France.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">During the honoring ceremony, a documentary film about Hawwas was screened.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Hawwas dedicated the award to the Egyptian people.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Addressing the ceremony, the Egyptian archaeologist talked about his precious discoveries and his passion for Egyptian antiquities since he discovered the statue of the Greek goddess of love \u201cAphrodite\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">On his part, the foundation chairman affirmed that Hawass is the most famous Egyptian worldwide.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">It is worth mentioning that, the Karic Brothers Award ceremony honors winners from Serbia and abroad for outstanding achievements at the crowded National Theater in Belgrade.
