President Abdel Fattah El Sisi launched on Tuesday the all-out comprehensive health insurance system which will cover all family members<\/p>\n

The new system is meant to offer better health services in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.<\/p>\n

Sisi underlined the state\u2019s interest in the current stage in upgrading health and economic sectors.<\/p>\n
While opening several projects via video conference, Sisi interrupted Health Minister Hala el Saeed saying that several initiatives were spearheaded to ditch health challenges facing people.<\/p>\n
He noted that about 300,000 operations were conducted in one year at EGP 2 billion within the framework of state\u2019s efforts to end waiting lists of patients.<\/p>\n
He expounded that such initiatives were meant to move steps forward until launching the all-out health insurance system<\/p>\n

The president has also launched an initiative for eliminating Hepatitis Virus C with an aim to reach out with citizens who need treatment.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The president gave orders that students must undergo Hepatitis Virus C before each school year.<\/p>\n
He added that the state is currently working on an initiative on examining noncommunicable diseases; blood pressure, diabetes and obesity.<\/p>\n
As for cancer treatment, he said there are 12,000 to 13,000 patients and the state is taking all needed measures.<\/p>\n

President Sisi also referred to several health initiatives, including an initiative on cochlear implant (CI) and \u00a0 \u201cNour Hayat\u201d initiative that aims at combating and treating diseases of weakness and loss of vision in all governorates.<\/p>\n
The president also cited an initiative for supporting kidney patients, noting that under the initiative, about 18 million dollars needed to renovate kidney dialysis medical equipment.<\/p>\n

Sisi said the state is committed to its role in comprehensive health insurance system, urging citizens to cooperate with the state to render the system successful.<\/p>\n
