iHeartMedia – the number one audio company in the United States \u2013 has launched a public service announcement (PSA) campaign to sensitize millions of people in the United States and around the world to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).<\/p>\n
\u00a0The campaign was developed by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and Sustainable Partners, Inc., founded by musician Adam Met of the indie pop band AJR.<\/p>\n
The series of radio PSAs were created to inspire individuals to play an active part in achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Also known as the Global Goals, they were agreed upon by world leaders as a roadmap to protect the planet and people from the effects of climate change, poverty and inequality.<\/p>\n
The first phase of this campaign consists of a series of PSAs which offer actions everyone can take in their daily lives, such as reducing waste with reusable coffee cups, conserving water through smart clothing purchases, and protecting rainforests with wiser food choices, among others. These small everyday acts, coupled with calls for bigger policy and system changes, will lead to wide-scale impact for the planet.<\/p>\n
The PSAs feature artists including AJR, Steve Aoki, Rachel Crow, Max, Local Natives, Runaway June and iHeartMedia personality Greg T. and will continue to run across iHeartMedia platforms through November 2019.<\/p>\n
