President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said the education budget hit EGP 130 billion in view of the developments Egypt is carrying out in the educational score.<\/p>\n
During the Eighth Youth Conference, Sisi called on community to cooperate with the state in building the personality of the upcoming Egyptian generation, referring to the role played by the family, school, religious institutions and community in this respect.<\/p>\n
Sisi accentuated that the state cannot work alone, the whole community should cooperate to achieve a sole goal which is building an outstanding Egyptian personality.<\/p>\n
Asked about the use of the tablet in the educational process, particularly in the tertiary stage, he said this issue was well-studied, adding that Egypt will reap the fruits of educational development in several years.<\/p>\n
He noted that there are 23 million students in the tertiary stage, adding that the number of students is increasing every year due to population growth.<\/p>\n
Asked about the need to improve teachers\u2019 financial conditions, the president said as the state\u2019s economic conditions improve, the state will boost salaries and incentives of teachers who are a top priority due to their pivotal role.<\/p>\n
He stressed that the coming generation should have critical mind capable of objective discussion of issues, adding that the current educational system does not serve this goal so that the development of the educational system is a must.<\/p>\n
He added that he wishes to see his sons – \u00a0the Egyptian youths – in better conditions.<\/p>\n
He said the state can never realize the aspired development without upgrading the educational system.<\/p>\n
Sisi said the development is meant to get the broad base of the Egyptian youth to be innovative, ambitious and seeking to continue their post graduate studies.<\/p>\n
He also raised the issue of vocational and technical education and their pivotal role in society.<\/p>\n
He called on people to benefit from the Knowledge Bank – which was launched in 2016 \u2013 as it offers a great amount of knowledge in various domains, even for the children.<\/p>\n
Sisi said he believes that the Egyptians do not know a lot about the Knowledge Bank, noting that he is mulling the launch of a media campaign and contests to sensitize people of how to benefit of the Knowledge Bank.<\/p>\n
He added that the state is working on digitalizing university exams to have neutral assessment of university students.<\/p>\n
He noted that the private universities have to have a twinship deal with key international universities so that their certificates would be accredited to ensure the quality of education.<\/p>\n
He added that the state would open more universities soon.<\/p>\n
Egypt is working had to attain the Sustainable Development Goals. During the Youth Conference, the president underlined the importance of SDG \u00a04 on Quality Education and expounded the state\u2019s efforts to serve this goal.<\/p>\n
