{"id":42486,"date":"2019-09-13T14:42:13","date_gmt":"2019-09-13T12:42:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/csregypt.com\/?p=42486"},"modified":"2019-09-15T20:27:50","modified_gmt":"2019-09-15T18:27:50","slug":"cib-cops-euromoneys-award-of-middle-easts-best-bank-for-corporate-responsibility","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csregypt.com\/en\/cib-cops-euromoneys-award-of-middle-easts-best-bank-for-corporate-responsibility\/","title":{"rendered":"CIB cops Euromoney&#8217;s award of Middle East&#8217;s Best Bank for Corporate Responsibility"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m5473012074461935734\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\" dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">CIB copped the\u00a0<strong>Middle East&#8217;s Best Bank for Corporate Responsibility<\/strong>\u00a0award of Euromoney in view of its collective investment in corporate and social development.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \" dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<p>The CIB strategy is heavily intertwined with core values that serve all stakeholders,\u00a0 customers,\u00a0 employees, and the communities which the bank serves.<\/p>\n<p>The report presented to Euromoney highlighted CIB\u2019s commitment to these values, most importantly, how the bank fosters diversity and inclusion, the impact that the bank&#8217;s operations have on its surrounding environment and community, CIB people\u2019s professional development and of course, it&#8217;s unmatched ethical business conduct.<\/p>\n<p>On the bank&#8217;s diversity and inclusion front, CIB is proud to be the first out of 230 companies in Africa and the Arab world to be included in Bloomberg\u2019s 2019 Gender Equality Index (GEI).<\/p>\n<p>The bank makes sure that diversity is spelt across all of its programs and efforts, some examples of which are, providing tailored training leadership programs for women, micro lending to enable prospective businesswomen, ensuring the accessibility of CIB branches, installing talking ATMs and trained personnel to serve customers with special needs.<\/p>\n<p>As a highly conscious bank, CIB is also proud to dedicate its resources to managing its ecological footprint since 2014 despite its significant expansion.The bank has adopted global standards to improve the use of energy and water, reduce carbon footprint and waste management systems.<\/p>\n<p>When sharing its community impact, the bank poured special focus on the CIB Foundation and its efforts to benefit underprivileged children, with the help of CIB employees who volunteer regularly to benefit patients of all types.
