{"id":39189,"date":"2019-07-10T10:47:59","date_gmt":"2019-07-10T08:47:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/csregypt.com\/?p=39189"},"modified":"2019-07-10T10:47:59","modified_gmt":"2019-07-10T08:47:59","slug":"uk-offers-reliable-voice-health-advice-info-via-amazon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csregypt.com\/en\/uk-offers-reliable-voice-health-advice-info-via-amazon\/","title":{"rendered":"UK offers reliable voice health advice, info via Amazon"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m-8029618505540750190\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Britain decided to launch a new voice service offering reliable health advice and information through Amazon in order to help patients, especially the elderly, blind and those who cannot access the internet through traditional means, to get professional health information in seconds, through simple voice commands.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Amazon\u2019s algorithm uses information from the National Health Service (NHS) website to provide answers to voice questions such as \u201cAlexa, how do I treat a migraine?\u201d or \u201cAlexa, what are the symptoms of flu?\u201d.<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The technology has the potential to reduce the pressure on the NHS and GPs by providing information for common illnesses.<\/p>\n<p>Voice search has been increasing rapidly. By 2020, half of all searches are expected to be made through voice-assisted technology.<\/p>\n<p>NHSX &#8211; which\u00a0brings teams from the Department of Health and Social Care, NHS England and NHS Improvement together into one unit to drive digital transformation and lead policy, implementation and change &#8211;\u00a0will look at ways of making more NHS services available to all patients through digital technology. The announcement supports the commitment in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.longtermplan.nhs.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.longtermplan.nhs.uk\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1562834177055000&amp;usg=AFQjCNFLuC9UGudjMMS3TMKY3vWgM9oKlQ\">NHS Long Term Plan<\/a>\u00a0to make more NHS services available digitially.<\/p>\n<p>Secretary of State for Health and Social Care Matt Hancock said: &#8220;We want to empower every patient to take better control of their healthcare and technology like this is a great example of how people can access reliable, world-leading NHS advice from the comfort of their home, reducing the pressure on our hardworking GPs and pharmacists.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He said &#8220;Through the NHS Long Term Plan, we want to embrace the advances in technology to build a health and care system that is fit for the future and NHSX will drive this revolution to bring the benefits to every patient, clinician and carer.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Matthew Gould, Chief Executive of NHSX, said: &#8220;The public need to be able to get reliable information about their health easily and in ways they actually use.
