The World Food Program (WFP) launched in the holy fasting month of Ramadan “Share Your Iftar” initiative to secure food for hungry people.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The initiative calls for donating just\u00a0\u00a0$45 to feed three children for the entire month of Ramadan.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The WFP said “by sharing your Iftar you help us to help them [people who has no iftar and no suhoor]”, adding that\u00a0many people go to bed hungry. There is no Iftar waiting for many people at sunset and no escape from their hunger.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The initiative is meant to inspire hope for a future free from hunger.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The WFP has also launched this year “Share The Meal” initiative in a bid to confront hunger and help people survive.\u00a0\u00a0The WFP took the step after the outstanding success of the initiative in 2018.<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
The WFP said <\/span>2018 wasn\u2019t your average year; it was world-changing. From all corners of the globe, generous donors shared 11,321,483 meals with people in need. That\u2019s more than 1 meal every 3 seconds.<\/div>\n

The WFP said “We didn\u2019t just share meals last year, we also encouraged our friends, families and followers to join us in fighting hunger. Teams from previous years continued to make challenges, and 2,849 new teams were created. Couples made teams to inspire wedding guests to share meals, running groups made teams as a way to give back and bloggers asked their communities to share too.”<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“As the rate of hunger continues to increase – with 821 million people hungry worldwide – your shared meals mean even more,” the WFP accentuated.<\/div>\n
