{"id":119831,"date":"2026-09-13T00:49:11","date_gmt":"2026-09-12T21:49:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/csregypt.com\/?p=119831"},"modified":"2026-09-13T00:49:11","modified_gmt":"2026-09-12T21:49:11","slug":"gri-expands-sustainability-reporting-support-to-49-countries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csregypt.com\/en\/gri-expands-sustainability-reporting-support-to-49-countries\/","title":{"rendered":"GRI expands sustainability reporting support to 49 countries"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\" dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) expanded its sustainability reporting standards and implementation support across global markets in 2025, helping organizations strengthen their reporting on climate, biodiversity and other sustainability impacts, according to its <a href=\"http:\/\/www.globalreporting.org\/media\/3asljrsy\/gri-impactreport-2025.pdf\">2025 Impact Report<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\" dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The report highlights GRI\u2019s efforts to place impact at the center of the global sustainability disclosure system and help organizations translate transparency into action.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\" dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Climate transition:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\" dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">GRI introduced new Climate Change and Energy Standards to strengthen reporting on climate transition, including a just transition, supported by science-based targets and actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\" dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Biodiversity focus:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\" dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Biodiversity pilots and partnerships helped organizations implement GRI 101: Biodiversity 2024 and connect nature-related impacts with related risks and opportunities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\" dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>1,900 professionals certified:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\" dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">GRI expanded sustainability education and implementation support through new Academy courses, with 1,900 individuals achieving GRI Professional Certification.
