Morgan and Goldman Sachs acted as lead managers. The bond will be listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange.<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Strong investor demand:<\/h3>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The transaction marks the World Bank\u2019s return to the euro market with a 10-year Sustainable Development Bond and its first euro benchmark since July 2025.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cReturning to the euro market with a 10-year Sustainable Development Bond is a milestone that reflects the enduring confidence investors place in the World Bank&#8217;s mission and long-term financial strength,\u201d said Jorge Familiar, Vice President and Treasurer of the World Bank Group.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">He added that the more than \u20ac6 billion order book reflects investors\u2019 recognition of the \u201cpositive, lasting impact\u201d supported by the programs financed through the bank\u2019s bonds.<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Bankers point to market strength:<\/h3>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/csregypt.com\/en\/citi-impact-fund-commits-25-million-to-affordable-housing-innovation\/\">Citi<\/a>\u2019s Ebba Wexler said the transaction was \u201ca resounding success,\u201d noting that it was the first euro-denominated 10-year SSA benchmark issued after the summer break and attracted one of the World Bank\u2019s strongest euro order books.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Credit Agricole\u2019s Benjamin Moulle highlighted the transaction\u2019s performance despite a \u201ctense geopolitical context and highly volatile yield environment,\u201d saying the bank secured a large and well-diversified order book with limited concession.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Goldman Sachs\u2019 Dorothee Amar said the transaction demonstrated the World Bank\u2019s \u201cstrategic prowess in the EUR market\u201d and supported its global mission to finance sustainable development.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">J.P. Morgan\u2019s Sarah Lovedee said the deal established a \u201cnew liquid 10-year point\u201d on the World Bank\u2019s euro curve, with demand exceeding \u20ac6 billion from a diverse investor base.<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Backing sustainable development:<\/h3>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The World Bank, through the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldbank.org\/en\/who-we-are\/ibrd\"> International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD)<\/a>, uses proceeds from its Sustainable Development Bonds to support development programs and projects in member countries.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The latest transaction strengthens the bank\u2019s euro funding position while tapping deep investor demand for highly rated supranational debt and securities linked to sustainable development.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The World Bank raised \u20ac3 billion through a 10-year euro-denominated Sustainable Development Bond maturing in September 2036, drawing more than \u20ac6 billion in orders from over 115 investors.
