Refillable packaging accounted for 14% of the Coca-Cola<\/a> Company\u2019s total beverage volume in 2024, as the company and its bottling partners expand reusable glass and PET bottles across markets where infrastructure and consumer demand can support them.<\/p>\n

Refill, reuse, repeat:<\/h3>\n

Refillable bottles are designed for multiple reuse cycles, with performance varying by packaging material, design and operating conditions.<\/p>\n

The Coca-Cola system is investing in local collection infrastructure, production capacity and consumer campaigns to expand refillable packaging. The approach requires upfront investment and ongoing support from customers and consumers.<\/p>\n

Many bottlers are also simplifying the process by using standardized universal bottles across multiple brands.<\/p>\n

$23 mln for universal bottles in Ecuador:<\/h3>\n

In Latin America, bottling partner Arca Continental invested $23 million to produce universal bottles and family-size returnable packaging in Guayaquil, Ecuador.<\/p>\n

The new production line is designed to optimize water and energy use and can process up to 400 bottles per minute.<\/p>\n

\u20ac146 mln upgrade powers refillable bottles in France:<\/h3>\n

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners France became the first soft drink supplier in the country to offer its full beverage range in refillable bottles, including Coca-Cola, Sprite, Fanta and Fuze Tea.<\/p>\n

The bottles are collected, cleaned and refilled at CCEP\u2019s facility in Grigny, outside Paris.<\/p>\n

The company inaugurated one of Europe\u2019s fastest and most flexible glass bottle lines at the site in 2025 following a \u20ac146 million investment to modernize and expand production capacity.<\/p>\n

Refillable push goes global:<\/h3>\n

Coca-Cola and its bottling partners are expanding refillable packaging in markets including Germany, South Africa and Vietnam, while new investments are strengthening production capacity elsewhere.<\/p>\n

Thailand\u2019s HaadThip Limited has added a new glass bottle production line, while Coca-Cola HBC invested \u20ac12 million to expand its refillable packaging line in Austria.<\/p>\n

Consumer campaigns in Brazil and Bolivia are also promoting the convenience and environmental benefits of refillable bottles.<\/p>\n

Century-old model gets new push:<\/h3>\n

Refillable glass bottles have been part of Coca-Cola\u2019s packaging model for more than a century, with the company positioning reuse as a way to offer consumers more packaging options while helping reduce packaging waste.<\/p>\n
