Foodics has concluded the third edition of its annual summer internship program, \u201cFoodics Folks,\u201d as part of its efforts to equip young Egyptians with practical skills and prepare the next generation of food and beverage (F&B) professionals.<\/p>\n

The program targets university students aged 18 to 21, offering them hands-on experience across corporate functions and restaurant operations through a hybrid learning model designed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and workplace skills.<\/p>\n

Interns gain experience across key business functions:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

During the first two weeks, participants joined Foodics\u2019 Egypt office, rotating across departments including People Operations, Sales Coordination, Marketing, Accounting, Customer Onboarding, Software Engineering, Customer Success, Performance Marketing, and AI & Data Science.<\/p>\n

The experience gave students insight into how different teams contribute to restaurant growth, operational efficiency, and digital transformation.<\/p>\n

Students experience real-world restaurant operations:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The second phase placed interns within Foodics-powered restaurants, allowing them to explore day-to-day operations and understand the challenges and opportunities shaping the F&B sector.<\/p>\n

Participants gained practical exposure through partnerships with brands including Abou Shakra, Vasko, Maine, Canel\u00e9 Patisserie, Takosan, Karak Boy, Hird\u2019s, S\u00fcss, and Sno, learning about customer service, workflow management, and technology-enabled operations.<\/p>\n

Program focuses on future-ready skills:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Beyond technical knowledge, Foodics Folks focused on developing key workplace skills, including communication, teamwork, problem-solving, adaptability, and customer-centric thinking.<\/p>\n

\u201cFoodics Folks has created meaningful opportunities for young talents interested in the F&B industry and reflects our ongoing commitment to helping students transition from academic learning to professional environments,\u201d said Belal Zahran, Chief Revenue Officer at Foodics.<\/p>\n

\u201cThrough Foodics Folks, we aim to equip students with the skills, experience, and mindset needed to become the future leaders of the F&B industry,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Supporting Egypt\u2019s digital transformation in hospitality:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The program also introduced students to the role of technology in modern restaurant management, showcasing how digital solutions can improve efficiency, streamline operations, and support business growth.<\/p>\n

Through direct engagement with Foodics teams and restaurant partners, participants explored how technology is reshaping the hospitality sector and enabling businesses to adapt to evolving market demands.<\/p>\n
