Schneider Electric said its technologies have helped customers save or avoid 913 million tons of CO\u2082 emissions since 2018, including more than 50 million tons in the first half of 2026, as the company reported progress under its new Impact 2030 sustainability<\/a> roadmap.<\/p>\n

Decarbonization gains:<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Six months after launching Impact 2030, Schneider Electric’s sustainability Impact Score reached 3.69 out of 10, putting the company on track to achieve its 2026 target of 4.20.<\/p>\n

The company reduced Scope 1 and 2 emissions from its own operations by 82% compared with 2017, while Scope 3 emissions fell 12% from 2021 levels. Schneider Electric’s energy management and digital solutions also enabled customers to save or electrify 129.5 million MWh during the first half.<\/p>\n

Circular design, supplier decarbonization:<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Schneider Electric said 27% of major products currently in the design phase now meet its new circularity and environmental excellence standards under the Future-designed program.<\/p>\n

The company also expanded its supplier decarbonization efforts, extending its Zero Carbon Pathway initiative to 1,500 suppliers. During the first half, more than 200 technical sessions were held with suppliers, while AI-enabled supply chain tools were deployed across 1,000 suppliers to help measure and reduce carbon emissions.<\/p>\n

Expanding energy access:<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Schneider Electric said its energy access initiatives have provided sustainable electricity to 67 million people since 2009, including 2.2 million during the second quarter, supported largely by projects in Africa and India.<\/p>\n

The company has also trained 1.37 million young people in electrification and sustainability since 2009. Meanwhile, 16% of experienced employees participated in structured mentoring, reskilling or knowledge-sharing programs during the first half.<\/p>\n

Recognition, investment:<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Schneider Electric was named TIME and Statista’s World’s Most Sustainable Company for the third consecutive year and expanded its presence in the World Economic Forum’s Global Lighthouse Network to 11 sites, including six recognized for sustainability.<\/p>\n

The company also launched the Schneider Electric Energy Access Asia Fund II, which aims to finance early-stage clean energy businesses across South and Southeast Asia. The fund is expected to help avoid around 3 million tons of CO\u2082 emissions, improve energy access for 3.5 million people, and support the creation of 5,000 jobs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
