PepsiCo has expanded regenerative, restorative and protective agricultural practices across 4.7 million acres globally while supporting approximately 224,000 livelihoods across its agricultural supply chains and farming communities, marking significant progress toward its 2030 Positive Agriculture (pep+)<\/a> goals.<\/p>\n

The latest update also highlights advances in sustainable sourcing and agricultural innovation as the company works to build a more resilient and sustainable food system.<\/p>\n

“As we continue work to help advance toward a more resilient and sustainable food system, I’m proud of the notable progress we’re making\u2014particularly in scaling regenerative agriculture, restorative or protective practices and expanding opportunities that help strengthen livelihoods,” said Jim Andrew, Chief Sustainability Officer and Executive Vice President at PepsiCo.<\/p>\n

“Our Positive Agriculture agenda is delivering impact for both people and the planet. While there is more work ahead, this momentum underscores what’s possible through strong collaboration and continuous innovation.”<\/p>\n

Regenerative agriculture expands:<\/h3>\n

PepsiCo said its regenerative, restorative and protective farming practices now cover 4.7 million acres worldwide, bringing the company closer to its target of 10 million acres by 2030.<\/p>\n

The company attributed the progress to stronger collaboration with farmers and local partners, combining technical support, data-driven insights and tailored programs to accelerate the adoption of regenerative practices.<\/p>\n

During 2025, PepsiCo also launched Supporting Trusted Engagement and Partnership (STEP) Up for Agriculture, a collaboration with Unilever and other food and beverage companies aimed at strengthening farmer-facing organizations and supporting more sustainable<\/a> supply chains.<\/p>\n

Sustainable sourcing, livelihoods:<\/h3>\n

PepsiCo also reported continued progress toward its goal of sustainably sourcing 90% of its key ingredients by 2030. As of 2025, 70% of key ingredients are sustainably sourced, while an additional 2% are progressing under the company’s “Engaged” pathway toward meeting its sustainable sourcing standards.<\/p>\n

Since 2021, PepsiCo has supported approximately 224,000 people through programs designed to strengthen farmer incomes, improve food security and enhance economic opportunities across rural communities, bringing the company closer to its goal of positively impacting more than 250,000 livelihoods by 2030.<\/p>\n

Innovation, the road ahead:<\/h3>\n

PepsiCo said strategic partnerships with organizations including Practical Farmers of Iowa, Cool Soils, Rimba Collective and Milh\u00e3o are helping expand regenerative agriculture while supporting greenhouse gas emissions reductions.<\/p>\n

The company is also investing in precision agriculture, climate resilience technologies and lower-carbon farming solutions through its Positive Agriculture Outcome (PAO) Accelerator, which supported more than 15 innovation projects in 2025 and reached over 1,100 farmers through demonstration farms, field trials and training programs.<\/p>\n

Looking ahead, PepsiCo said it will continue strengthening the resilience of farmers, soils, biodiversity and watersheds, while expanding collaboration, improving traceability and scaling sustainable farming practices as it advances toward its 2030 Positive Agriculture goals.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
