{"id":112562,"date":"2025-05-09T01:51:41","date_gmt":"2025-05-08T22:51:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.csregypt.com\/huzayyin-financing-vital-element-in-addressing-environmental-challenges\/"},"modified":"2025-05-09T01:56:14","modified_gmt":"2025-05-08T22:56:14","slug":"huzayyin-financing-vital-element-in-addressing-environmental-challenges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csregypt.com\/en\/huzayyin-financing-vital-element-in-addressing-environmental-challenges\/","title":{"rendered":"Huzayyin: Financing vital element in addressing environmental challenges"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Ahmed Huzayyin, Director of the Eco-Industrial Department of Chemonics Egypt, said financing is a vital element in addressing environmental challenges and ditching the negative impact of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.csregypt.com\/en\/gcf-launches-3-new-regional-programs-in-egypt-for-climate-change-mitigation-adaptation\/\">climate change<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">He underlined the importance of water recycling in the water-intensive sectors of chemical and textile.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">He made the remarks during the 15th Egypt CSR and Sustainable Development Forum (<a href=\"https:\/\/egyptcsrforum.com\/\">15th Egypt CSR Forum<\/a>) which runs from May 7 to 10.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Huzayyin added that Chemonics Egypt adopts smart irrigation systems with an aim to switch to smart agriculture while focusing on reducing energy consumption and using more efficient irrigation systems.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">He noted that the company is working on a project in Egypt on preserving coral reefs in collaboration with the Ministries of Environment and Tourism.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">He highlighted the two major challenges facing the transition towards sustainability.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">He expounded that the first challenge is the unclear demand which requires redefining demand and changing the mindset towards sustainability to adopt more sustainable practices.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">He added that the second challenge is implementing adaptation projects, which involves developing new projects that support adaptation to climate change and contribute to achieving sustainability.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">He underlined the importance of providing data and figures to support this transition, highlighting the necessity of adopting clear standards, such as drip irrigation and water-saving technologies to improve agricultural efficiency and sustainability.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ahmed Huzayyin, Director of the Eco-Industrial Department of Chemonics Egypt, said financing is a vital element in addressing environmental challenges and ditching the negative impact of climate change.
