It will also support Housing Bank in expanding its MSME loan portfolio and reaching new clients outside the capital Amman, helping boost economic resilience and job creation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt; background: white; text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Noto Sans','serif'; color: #082640;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt; background: white; text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Noto Sans','serif'; color: #082640;\">MSMEs form the backbone of Jordan\u2019s private sector, but they were hit by a fall in the country\u2019s GDP growth from 2.6 percent to 2.4 percent in 2024 that further constrained their access to finance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt; background: white; text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Noto Sans','serif'; color: #082640;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt; background: white; text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Noto Sans','serif'; color: #082640;\">This agreement marks the EBRD\u2019s third partnership with HBTF, following a\u00a0<a style=\"box-sizing: border-box; cursor: pointer; color: var(--anchor-default); background: linear-gradient(var(--anchor-hover),var(--anchor-hover)); transition: background-size 0.5s ease 0s;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ebrd.com\/home\/news-and-events\/news\/2023\/ebrd-eu-and-gcf-promote-green-investments-in-jordan.html\"><b>$ 15 million (\u20ac13.8 million) loan in 2023 co-financed with the Green Climate Fund<\/b><\/a>\u00a0under its\u00a0<a style=\"box-sizing: border-box; cursor: pointer; color: var(--anchor-default); background: linear-gradient(var(--anchor-hover),var(--anchor-hover)); transition: background-size 0.5s ease 0s;\" href=\"https:\/\/ebrdgeff.com\/jordan\/\"><b>Green Economy Financing Facility<\/b><\/a>, and a US$ 50 million trade finance facility in 2021 to foster export and import activities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt; background: white; text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Noto Sans','serif'; color: #082640;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt; background: white; text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Noto Sans','serif'; color: #082640;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ebrd.com\/home\/who-we-are\/our-organisation\/ebrd-governance-leadership\/ebrd-executive-committee\/matteo-patrone.html\"><b>Matteo Patrone<\/b><\/a>, the EBRD\u2019s Vice President for Banking, said: \u201cWe are very pleased to have signed this facility, which further deepens our partnership with Housing Bank, a leading financial institution in Jordan. This third engagement reflects our shared commitment to supporting MSMEs and driving economic growth.
