The Women Deliver 2019 Conference – due to be held in Canada on June 3 through 6 – will be the world’s largest conference on gender equality and the health, rights, and well-being of girls and women in the 21st century. It will serve as a catalyst for advocates working to achieve a more gender-equal world in line with Sustainable Development Goal no 5.

The conference will look at the different issues affecting women’s lives and will hone in on solutions and drive action in girls’ and women’s health – including maternal, sexual, and reproductive health and rights – education, environment, political participation, economic empowerment, human rights, gender-based violence, and access to resources.

Representatives from the World Health Organization will join over 6,000 world leaders, government officials, civil society and private sector leaders, young people, advocates, academics, activists, and journalists from more than 150 countries in Canada’s Vancouver to work towards accelerating progress for girls and women everywhere.
