Samsung’s innovative washing machines are meant to promote eco-friendly laundry through using less energy and water. Samsung is committed to helping households around the world find more efficient ways to keep their clothes pristine, a mission reflected in the inclusion of several dedicated functionalities in Samsung’s innovative washing machines.
In fact, the average family washes about 165 loads of laundry every year, using around 60 liters of water per load – a figure that carries substantial environmental impact. What’s more, regularly undertaking this routine task adds up, with wet appliances such as washing machines accounting for around 10% of a household’s energy bills.
Samsung said washing laundry at 30 C can save up to 60 percent of energy consumed. The amount of energy saved amounts for eliminating emissions of 700,000 cars.
Samsung washing machines have several options to cut energy consumption.
Samsung’s EcoBubbles Technology, which efficiently dissolves detergent even in cold water, can reduce energy usage while removing tough stains.
Also, selecting shorter wash times with Samsung’s QuickDrive Q-Drum can save up to 20 percent more energy while achieving uncompromised results in half the time.
Samsung washing machines also worked on reducing the amounts of water and detergent used in laundry. Samsung’s AI Wash uses sensors to detect the load’s weight to dispense just the right amount of water and detergent.
Therefore, about 76 percent of Samung’s washer products were awarded the European Commission-certified A/B labels which represent strict energy certification. About 39 percent of Samsung washers copped A labels.
