RMHC Egypt has teamed up with Kheir Wa Baraka, a non-governmental organization (NGO), for the inauguration of its Center of Excellence for Early Childhood Development in Helwan, Cairo, under the auspices of the Ministry of Social Solidarity.
This remarkable achievement comes as the eighth center within just one year of RMHC Egypt’s ambitious expansion plan. After opening five centers in Aswan last October and two centers in Suhag in July, the organization continues to make a lasting impact on the lives of children and their families.
The grand opening ceremony was attended by esteemed guests, including Mrs. Maha Helali, Consultant to the Minister of Social Solidarity for the Affairs of the Disabled, Mona El Taweel, Member of the Board in Kheir Wa Baraka NGO, Ahmed Ismail, CEO of Kheir Wa Baraka NGO, and Sara El-Etreby, Head of RMHC Egypt.
These centers act as focal points for delivering comprehensive care, offering a wide range of Health, educational, and developmental services to children between the ages of 1 day and 4 years. Skilled facilitators provide excellent care while also providing essential social and health programs.
Parents gain valuable knowledge through sessions on effective parenting methods and the significance of early identification of disabilities. Furthermore, every child receives an individualized health record, guaranteeing personalized care and services.
Sara El-Etreby, Head of RMHC Egypt, expressed her delight, saying, “We are thrilled to open another Center of Excellence for Early Childhood Development in Cairo, building upon the success we have achieved in unprivileged communities’ areas across Egypt. With a total of 800 children and their families benefiting from our services, along with the training of 65 facilitators, we are making a real difference.”
El-Etreby emphasized the Cairo center’s unique feature: a fully equipped room designed to rehabilitate individuals with moderate disabilities, whether physical, speech-related, or learning-related. This specialized facility aims to empower these individuals to integrate into society through tailored rehabilitation programs administered by a team of experts.
RMHC Egypt’s focus on early childhood interventions highlights the critical impact this development phase has on a child’s personal advancement and future prospects, aligning with Egypt’s Vision 2030 for inclusive education and training.
Ahmed Ismail, CEO of Kheir Wa Baraka, added, “Building upon our success in marginalized areas of Aswan and Sohag, Kheir Wa Baraka has dedicated its skilled staff to expand this vital project. With the start of the new academic year, we have opened the doors of the Center of Excellence for Early Childhood Development in Cairo, ensuring that children and their families receive exceptional services and the latest childcare methodologies. Our commitment to equality, inclusiveness, and justice fuels our belief in providing comprehensive care, a nurturing environment, and high-quality education to children and families in marginalized communities.”
This launch aligns with RMHC Egypt’s strategic approach, which places a strong emphasis on understanding community needs and improving the well-being of children and families. Utilizing evidence-based methodologies, the organization assesses community issues, identifies priorities, optimizes resources, and strives to create a world where children thrive with good health, family support, and hopeful future prospects.
Together, RMHC Egypt and Kheir Wa Baraka continue to create a brighter future for children.
