Head of Communications, Sustainability and Customer Satisfaction of the Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) Inès Kadri said the bank has managed to boost its e-services by 50 percent during the coronavirus crisis.
She said digital transformation is part and parcel of financial inclusion and all Egyptian banks are moving ahead in this direction.
She made the remarks during a symposium on “digital transformation and future of e-commerce” which was organized by the Edge Innovation Center – an affiliate to the Raya Smart Buildings.
Although the coronavirus crisis had a negative impact, it had its positive effect in promoting technological banking services, she said.
The pandemic crisis has also contributed to highlight the key role played by the banks under corporate social responsibility (CSR) since the commencement of the crisis, she said, referring to the banks’ support to the health sector.
She said the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) and the entire banking sector played a pivotal role during the past period to promote financial inclusion.
