International Game Technology (IGT) has announced this week that its latest Sustainability Report has ranked in the Top 10 worldwide in the Credibility Through Assurance category of the 2020 CR Reporting Awards (CRRA).
The firm’s annual report was selected by a voting jury of registered CRRA stakeholders for seventh place among entries from multiple industries and sectors around the world. A total of 81 companies vied for recognition in the awards program, which features 10 categories. IGT was the only gaming company selected as a finalist in the program.
Now in its 13th year, the CRRA is the only independent annual global awards program recognizing organizations that set new standards of excellence and leadership in corporate social responsibility (CSR) reporting.
The Credibility Through Assurance category recognizes companies that engage independent third parties to verify aspects of their reports, and that publish their methodology, conclusions, and recommendations.
“IGT’s externally audited Sustainability Report demonstrates our drive to create value globally, enhance our socially responsible citizenship, and report on our initiatives transparently,” said Wendy Montgomery, IGT Senior Vice President, Global Brand, Marketing, and Communications.
“By being recognized for the quality, reliability and integrity of our report, we proudly count ourselves among multinational CSR leaders in industries including food and beverage, apparel, and natural resources, while reaffirming our CSR leadership in the gaming industry.”
IGT said that it actively focuses its corporate social responsibility strategy on nine of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals to continue strengthening its corporate leadership through advanced sustainability practices.
Its latest report, available at IGT.com/sustainabilityreport, outlines the company’s 2018 achievements supporting the global communities it serves through a wide range of customer interactions, community involvement, and employee engagement activities.
