Ibnsina Pharma donated additional EGP 5 million in a second philanthropic gesture to support state efforts in the face of the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis.
About EGP 1 million would bolster to supporting state efforts in collaboration with the Ministry of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates.
About EGP 4 million would pour into “Ahalena” Initiative which was launched by the state to collect donations to support most vulnerable families and irregular workers.
Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli received a letter about the donation from Omar Abdel Gawwad and Mahmoud Abdel Gawwad, the Co-Founder and Managing Director of the Ibnsina Pharma.
Mabouli hailed Ibnsina Pharma’s positive initiative which is the second since the coronavirus breakout. This reflects the company’s convention about the importance of the private sector’s support for the state efforts to mitigate the impact of the pandemic in most affected sectors.
The Ibnsina Pharma officials saluted the great efforts being exerted by the government to contain the coronavirus and its economic fallout, especially on daily wage workers.
They said the company is ready to help mobilize all its potentials to back the state efforts to promote the health mechanism in Egypt.
In April, the company donated EGP 4 million to the Egyptian government to secure medical supplies for isolation hospitals.
Ibnsina Pharma Managing Director Omar Abdel Gawwad said the company also collaborated with the cabinet’s Information and Decision Support Center within the framework of fighting the coronavirus nationwide.
The company sent about 500,000 awareness messages among pharmacists.
