The Housing and Development Bank (HDB) earmarked a total of EGP 2 million for upgrading a non-profit association for social service in Cairo’s Ramlet Boulaq district, including its nursery and medical facilities.
The social association – affiliated to the Social Solidarity Ministry – was renovated in tandem with Rotary Club of North Cairo.
The bank’s contribution to the comprehensive development plan of the social association falls within the framework of the HDB’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy.
The bank is interested in contributing to initiatives and programs that could push forward the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals.
The bank has worked on supporting most needy and marginalized social strata and contributing to securing basic services, including education and health, in accordance with the Egypt Vision 2030 and the state plan for sustainable development.
HDB CEO Hassan Ghanem said the bank highly appreciates the fruitful cooperation with Rotary Club in developing the social association and supporting the most needy social segments.
