Fine Hygienic Holding (FHH), one of the world’s leading wellness groups and manufacturers of hygienic paper products, has teamed up with Misr El Kheir Foundation to support 30 small and micro income-generating projects of female breadwinners in Al Tal Al Kabeer and Al-Qassasin, located in the Ismailia governorate.
This step comes as part of the second phase of the Passionately Handmade initiative, which is being implemented in collaboration with the Misr El Kheir (MEK) Foundation. The 30 selected projects fall into various fields, including commercial projects such as stationery shops, frozen food stores, fodder, and ready-to-wear clothes, as well as handicraft projects like sewing and detergent manufacturing, in addition to service-oriented projects such as women’s hairdressers, homemade meal services, and veterinary supplies.
Commenting on the occasion, Ahmed El Fakharany, General Manager and Chief Commercial at FHH Egypt, expressed his delight in handing over the projects, stating, “This initiative aligns with FHH’s CSR strategy to foster the development of the communities in which it operates, with a particular emphasis on empowering women. FHH recognizes that women are a fundamental pillar in building any society and firmly believes in the vital role they play in development.”
El Fakharany added that FHH strongly believes in the crucial role of the private sector in supporting local initiatives aimed at community development. He highlighted the tremendous success of the initial phase of the Passionately Handmade initiative. This success has motivated FHH to expand the implementation of a greater number of projects this year, aiming to create more job opportunities for women and help them establish a sustainable source of income.
The agreement signed between FHH and Misr El Kheir includes monthly follow-ups on the established projects for a period of one year. The purpose of these follow-ups is to provide administrative and technical support to ensure the projects remain sustainable and achieve their intended goals.
