Board member of the Egyptian Private Equity Association (EPEA) Haitham Wagih said several challenges are besetting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), topped by applying governance standards.
Addressing the first Egypt Business Solutions Summit on Monday, Wagih noted that the World Bank revealed that 50 percent of SMEs need to apply governance as well as financing of up to 20 percent of the firm’s activities.
He added that major companies started applying governance, expounding that each company has its own governance standards.
