Elsewedy Electric channeled EGP 64 million over the last three years for CSR activities that helped at the same time attaining Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Catering services at all Elsewedy factories and manufacturing plants provide hot meals and bottled water for all laborers. For on-site projects it provides pre-packaged lunchboxes and individual water bottles.
Catering suppliers undergo reviews for medical certificates, blood checks, and Health and Safety Executive-related (HSE)certifications and standards.
Elsewedy also provides meals at Elsewedy Technical Academy (STA) and its other educational institutes.
Elsewedy Electric provides food boxes during Ramadan.
As for SDG 4 on Quality Education, Elsewedy Electric built Elsewedy Technical Academy (STA) in 2011 under the supervision of Egypt’s Ministry of Education.
The STA provides a three-year, secondary level program of customized technical education for the major electrical industries at international standards. All STA’s training programs follow the German example of dual approach training, which combines learning and training tracks that take place both at the school and in Elsewedy factories.
The STA aims to provide an innovative and enhanced educational program focused on developing students’ skills in order to create a pool of qualified, skilled, efficient, and professional members of the technical community to support the foreign and local markets.
It also funds, renovates, and builds schools across Egypt and Africa.
Since 2017, Elsewedy Electric has been providing merit-based scholarships to students from public schools in cooperation with the American University in Cairo (AUC), the German University Cairo (GUC), Zewail University, Nile University, Faculty of Medicine at Qasr Aini University, Mansoura University and Ain Shams University.
Elsewedy scholarship fund began as a pilot program in 2016 with 2 students; it has grown to a capacity of 100 students per year, with 64 full scholarships being provided in 2017.
