Egyptian and Jordanian teachers can now compete for the Mohamed Bin Zayed Award for Best GCC Teacher which announced expanding its scope of the countries participating in the award to include Egypt and Jordan, which will be two guests of honor.
The award also announced that expatriate teachers in the participating countries who follow the education systems adopted in these countries and meet the required conditions are allowed to participate in the third edition of the award 2019-2020.
This came during a press conference held in Abu Dhabi to announce the launch of the third edition of the award and open the door for registration and participation to GCC teachers and those from Jordan and Egypt. The step came as part of the award’s keenness on targeting as many teachers from the region and the Arab world as possible in implementation of its educational philosophy, which is based on supporting teachers and highlighting their status, educational achievements, dedication and efforts to improve the quality of education.
Seeking to develop the award, some sub-criteria were added to the award’s third edition, including the communal and professional leadership criterion, which is aimed at bolstering the teacher’s role in encouraging students and colleagues to practice sports and participate in sports activities.
