E-Finance For Digital and Financial Investments (EFIH) signed a cooperation protocol with the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Sona3 El Kheir Foundation to offer scholarships for students of technical education and technological faculties under “Equality” initiative.
The initiative aims at selecting excellent students to help them finalize their study.
The agreement was signed during E-Finance’s participation as a strategic partner in the 2022 Cairo ICT. The Higher Education Ministry is taking part in the event as an honorary guest.
Higher Education Minister Ayman Ashour witnessed the inking of the deal alongside E-Finance CEO Ibrahim Sarhan and Board of Trustees Chairman of Sona3 El Kheir Moustafa Zamzam.
This falls within the framework of E-Finance’s pioneering development and CSR role which serves the State plans to support technical education and technological faculties as well as the goals of the presidential initiative Decent Life.
E-Finance offers – through “Equality” initiative – a number of grants to pay EGP 2 million fees annually for four years for about 200 students of technical education and secondary schools who are seeking to join technological faculties.
Minister Ayman Ashour voiced deep appreciation of the efforts being exerted by the civil society and pioneering economic institutions in the technological domain.
He said “Equality” initiative represents an amazing model of cooperation between the state executive body, the economic sector and civil society; as represented in the Higher Education Ministry, E-Finance and Sona3 El Kheir respectively.
E-Finance CEO and Board Chairman Ibrahim Sarhan said E-Finance – as a technology pioneer in Egypt – spares no effort to support technological development at all levels, especially with regard to encouraging ambitious youth for innovation and technological education to ensure digital future with efficient national cadres under Egypt Vision 2030.
