Deb L. Morrison, a climate and anti-oppression activist, said climate change education and awareness are vital for getting youths deeply engaged in this drive.
She said how to get people engaged in climate and environmental action is a fundamental question, stressing that people should powerfully get engaged in climate action.
Morrison made the remarks on Monday during her virtual participation in the 4th Forum on Strategies for Transition to Green Economy that kicked off in Cairo under the theme of “From Vision to Implementation.” The event is organized by CSR Egypt.
Addressing the environmental and climate issues, “We have to think about who is involved in this situation and who is involved in decision-making,” she said.
She referred to the Mary Robinson Foundation – Climate Justice as a key player in this regard.
It is worth mentioning that the Mary Robinson Foundation – Climate Justice is a center for thought leadership, education and advocacy on the struggle to secure global justice for those people vulnerable to the impacts of climate change who are usually forgotten – the poor, the disempowered and the marginalized across the world.
